Wondros partners with ONE to shed light on a new F-Word

Wondros is proud to announce our partnership with ONE to create "The F-Word: Famine is the Real Obscenity." Featuring some of today’s biggest names (including George Clooney, Jessica Alba, Clive Owen, Jenna and Barbara Bush, Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell), the spot seeks to raise awareness of the ongoing famine spreading through the horn of Africa.

“Drought, violence and political instability have invited in the grim reaper on a scale we have not seen in 20 years... more than 30,000 children have died in just three months,” says Bono – co-founder of ONE and lead singer from U2 – on the Huffington Post. “The food crisis in the Horn of Africa is nothing short of a humanitarian catastrophe, but it is getting less attention than the latest Hollywood break-ups and make-ups.”

Since its founding in 2002, ONE has been dedicated to fighting extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, by raising public awareness and pressuring political leaders to support smart and effective policies and programs that are saving lives, helping to put kids in school and improving futures.

Wondros is proud to present “The F-Word,” showing people across the globe that obscenities aren’t limited to four-letter words. The real obscenity is the pain and suffering affecting millions of lives everyday.

Join in the cause. Watch the video and sign ONE’s petition to world leaders – issuing a call to end famine by investing in things proven to work -- early warning systems, irrigation, drought resistant seeds, and of course, peace and security.
