In August, Wondros Global director Jesse Dylan set sail for the high seas, joining some of the world’s leading researchers in a cruise aboard the National Geographic Explorer. The ship’s passengers took part in this year’s FQXi Conference, Setting Time Aright: An international and inter-disciplinary meeting investigating the Nature of Time. The conference participants came from a range of fields within physics and cosmology, as well as from computer science, complex systems, biology, philosophy, and psychology

Sailing from Bergen, Norway to Copenhagen, Denmark, the participants sought to answer the fundamental questions related to the nature of time. When they docked in Copenhagen, a Wondros crew met the participants to continue the discussion on film, capturing and memorializing this summit’s discussions regarding one of our greatest everyday mysteries. The film hopes to jumpstart conversations beyond the conference, sparking questions about and challenges to the human perception and nature of time.
