David Mallet's Bio

David Mallet is known for capturing epic performance, having directed concert films for artists like Madonna, U2, Janet Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Rod Stewart, and Cher. His many awards and accolades include Grammys for Chers Farewell Tour Live on NBC, Madonnas Blonde Ambition and U2s Zoo TV video as well as an Emmy for the Cirque Du Soleil home video Dralion. Other shows include Janet Jacksons ICON for MTV, The Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge, Elton John Live at Madison Square Garden, U2s Popmart, and The Freddie Mercury World Tribute Live.

He has also directed David Bowie, Bon Jovi, AC/DC and Pink Floyd. Mallet is versed in the classical world as well; his credits include DVDs for The Three Tenors, Placido Domingo, Sarah Brightman and Charlotte Church. The restoration of heritage live footage is another of Mallets specialties, particularly his work restoring the entire video library for rock legends Queen.
