One of a handful of directors who forged the visual identity of the MTV generation through his groundbreaking work in photography, music videos and commercials, Kevin Kerslake directed award-winning clips for some of today's most highly acclaimed bands, including Rise Against, Daughtry, Bon Jovi, Velvet Revolver, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day and R.E.M.; TV commercial campaigns for AT&T, Compaq, Kohler, Quiksilver, Sprite, Puma, DC Shoes and Nike; and music marketing strategies for AOL/Time-Warner, Universal Music Group, Interscope Records and RealNetworks. In the realm of longform, Kerslake has made a number of documentaries for bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden and The Ramones, as well as a core surf film for Quiksilver called Continuum. Having come from the hi-octane world of action sports, Kerslake co-founded the X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival, which is held during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
