Adria Petty began her career in filmmaking straight after college, working as an assistant to award winning directors Jonathan Demme and Penny Marshall. She has since directed over 50 music videos and commercials, and two feature length documentaries.
In 2012 Petty had an enormously successful year, with five MTV VMA nominations for Beyoncé’s “Countdown,” Coldplay and Rihanna’s “Princess of China,” and Regina Spektor’s “All the Row Boats.”
Petty has worked with agency creatives and recording artists to develop visual campaigns in print, video and new media, and has also created tour visuals for rock band The Who.
Adria has lent her mad-cap, pop-influenced filmmaking style to commercials for Converse, Target, Hershey’s, McDonald’s, Lancôme, Alexander McQueen, and many more.
