Vern Moen is a Los Angeles-based director whose wide range of work includes commercials, music videos, and documentaries. His penchant for the gritty narrative has led him on trips to film two feature length documentaries, Plastiki and the Material of the Future and Mando Diao: 28 Years of Solitude. Vern recently directed a series of short episodic content for the music series, From the Basement, capturing multi-cam 3D performances from artists ranging from Radiohead to The Shins.
Vern’s highly stylized music documentary work has included promotions and live performance films for artists such as Foo Fighters, The Dead Weather, Broken Bells and Cold War Kids. His complete approach to each project has seen him collaborate on repeated projects with musicians Delta Spirit, Against Me! And Foster the People.
Equally adept as an editor, Vern Vern established Long Beach Film Company in 2008 in LA’s Arts District to serve as a post-production partner to handle the final stages of documentary and music based work.
