Vern Moen is a Los Angeles-based Director whose wide range of work includes commercials, music videos, and documentaries. His penchant for raw narratives has led him on trips to film two feature-length documentaries, “Plastiki and the Material of the Future” and “Mando Diao: 28 Years of Solitude.” Vern recently directed a series of short episodic content for the music series, “From the Basement,” capturing multi-cam 3D performances from artists ranging from Radiohead to The Shins.
Vern’s highly-stylized music documentary work has included promotions and live performance films for artists such as Foo Fighters, The Dead Weather, Broken Bells and Against Me!. His complete approach to each project has seen him collaborate on with musicians Delta Spirit, Against Me! And Foster the People.
Equally adept as an Editor, Vern established the Long Beach Film Company in 2008 to serve as a post-production partner to handle the final stages of documentary and music projects. Recent docu projects include “The Cannonball Ride,” “A Shepherd,” “Material of the Future” and “Acting Disruptive.”
